Direct Line
One idea runs through everything: money moves along a single line, straight from your bank to your friend's. The world is dark and drawn in hairlines. Only the money glows, in the brass of a pound coin.
01 · Logo
One stroke, from you to them.
The mark is a single continuous stroke. It rises (you), rounds the corner and runs out and back along the top arm (the approval beat), drops to the middle and runs out as the line to a point of light (the money arriving). Still, the retrace disappears and it reads as an F. In motion, light travels the whole path.

02 · Palette
Night ink and one metal.
Pound brass is the colour of the £1 coin's nickel-brass. It's warm, which suits money between friends, and it reads as light in the dark, which suits a story about money travelling. It's the only accent: one per view, and it always means money or the brand.

03 · Type
Anybody, and Paper Mono.
Anybody (OFL, Etcetera Type Co.) is a variable grotesque with a width axis from 50 to 150. Stretched wide and heavy it frames titles like a widescreen shot, and at normal width it sets body copy. The name helps: anybody can pay anybody. Paper Mono (OFL, Paper) carries everything you'd type: handles, nicknames, amounts and the =>.

05 · Motion
Light, moving on purpose.

Everything else is hairline and still. If something lights up, it's money moving, or about to.
- 02Scroll is the throttle.
The story never plays itself. You move the £50; stop scrolling and it waits for you.
- 03Things travel, they don't teleport.
Light moves along paths at a cruising speed: ease off the start, settle into the end, no jump cuts.
- 04A breath before payment.
Every flow has a beat of stillness at approval. The logo's retrace is that beat: up, check, then out.
- 05Stillness is a setting.
Reduced motion gets a designed storyboard of still frames, not a broken film.

06 · App icon
A point of light on your home screen.
The mark sits low and left so the point of light lands near the icon's optical centre, with a soft brass bloom behind it. On a crowded home screen it reads as one warm dot in a dark square.
