DATE TIME
Faloos prints like a till: everything you’d want to check is on the receipt, and the amount held by Faloos is always £0.00. The brand is one typeface, one stamp colour and a roll of thermal paper.
01 · The stamp
A rubber stamp, cut as one die: faloos in a double-ruled cell, and the => knocked out of a solid one. The arrow is the product: it’s the middle of every payment sentence.

The thump
- 1
Lift. The stamp rises 6px, grows 8% and lightens, as if it’s leaving the paper.
- 2
Thump. It comes down hard to 92%, at a slightly different angle each time.
- 3
Settle. A damped spring (stiffness 560, damping 16) brings it back. The paper jolts 1.5px.
- 4
Smudge. A ghost impression slides off and fades, and the ink texture is reseeded, so no two impressions match.
On paper and on the counter
Seal on Thermal is the default. On the counter use Seal or Thermal ink. On a Seal field, print it in Thermal.
Minimum sizes
Below 48px the ink texture comes off and the stamp sits straight. Keep clear space of one arrow height around it.
02 · Palette
Thermal paper, head ink and one stamp colour. Seal vermilion is the second ink of two-colour till rolls and the colour of a personal seal, so it only marks what is yours or approved by you: the logo, the =>, the approval stamp and the £0.00.

Receipt conventions
Dotted leadersALWAYS
Double rules around totals.
Dashed rules between sections, centred headers, barcodes and tick boxes. The rules are set in the font’s own box-drawing glyphs.
04 · Voice
Plain, short and a bit cheeky. Facts on the receipt, jokes in the margins. If a sentence wouldn’t fit on a till roll, cut it.

05 · Motion
- 01
Stepped, not smooth
The paper advances a line at a time while you scroll, and each line prints in dot-row bands with
steps(). Nothing glides. - 02
One spring, and it’s the stamp
The only bounce in the system is the stamp landing. It marks the logo and approvals, so a spring always means “yours” or “approved”.
- 03
Nothing loops
No idle animation. Motion answers a scroll, a tap or a payment, then stops.
- 04
Mechanical paper, instant ink
Paper movement is quantised and a little jerky. Ink appears at once, the way thermal print does.
- 05
Less motion means already printed
With reduced motion the receipt arrives complete, the printer stays away, and pressing the stamp gives a fresh impression without moving it.
