Faloos talks like your group chat.
The brand lives where money between friends actually gets sorted: in the chat. Everything is a message, a reply or a card someone drops in. Tangerine is the one colour that shouts, and in any chat it means one thing: this bit is Faloos.
Logo
A bubble that’s about to send.
A chat bubble whose tail sweeps forward like an arrowhead. At rest it holds three typing dots: someone’s about to say something. On hover, focus or tap the dots hop once, then the first two stretch into = and the third sprouts >. Typing becomes =>, the arrow every Faloos payment is written with.
Built from five strokes; only dash lengths and transforms animate, on a spring (ζ 0.52, about 0.55 s), with a 50 ms stagger left to right.
Lockups
Minimum sizes
The lockup never goes below 88 px wide on screen. Under 24 px the mark is static and uses the favicon drawing, whose dots are a third heavier so they survive.
Clear space
Keep a margin of at least the bubble’s tail (about a quarter of the mark’s height) clear on every side. The tail always points right, towards whoever is being paid.
Palette
Why tangerine? Every phone already colours the chat: blue and green belong to the messaging apps, green and blue again to the big money apps, and coral-red is taken nearby and reads as “overdrawn” in a banking UI. Tangerine is warm, celebratory and unclaimed in UK money, and it carries ink text at 6.8:1, so a payment bubble can be tangerine with dark text and stay readable. Everything else is chat neutrals, so tangerine only ever marks a Faloos moment.
Avatar tints and hairlines. Quiet on purpose, so friends stay distinct without competing with tangerine.

Variable, 200 to 1000, SIL OFL. Fully rounded terminals, so heavy weights feel like a sticker and body text feels like a text from a friend. Used for everything people say.

Voice
The group chat’s energy, a straight-talking friend’s honesty. Short sentences, real names, real amounts. If a line wouldn’t survive being sent to the chat, rewrite it.

Motion
- Bubbles arrive, they don’t fade. Each message springs up from its tail: friends from the bottom left, yours from the bottom right, Faloos from the centre.
- Someone types before they talk. Typing dots hold the space a message is about to fill, and the chat header says who’s typing. A fast scroll skips the wait.
- Money gets the pop. Payment bubbles scale in with the bounciest spring, and the bill they pay ticks a slot at the same moment.
- Motion answers you. Things move because you scrolled, tapped or asked. Nothing loops on its own, and with reduced motion the conversation is simply there, finished.
